Booster Packs are the way Wizards of the Coast, the company the makes MTG Cards, distributes Magic the Gathering. Generally speaking a Magic Booster Pack includes 1 Rare or Mythic Rare, 3 Uncommons and 11 Commons. Some earlier sets like Arabian Nights and Alliances included different quantities and rarities. Also randomly included in some Booster Packs are Foil or Premium cards. The first set to include Foil cards was Urza's Legacy. Sealed Deck or Draft tournaments also use Sealed Booster Packs. Players use the cards they open or draft to construct a deck from. The other types of Sealed MTG product are Tournament or Starter Decks, Fat Packs, and Pre-constructed Theme Deck or Intro Packs. Most beginning players will buy a Pre-constructed Theme or Intro Deck first. Then add cards from Booster Packs to make the deck better.
